Contrast analysis on the patterns of eco-industrial networks: An empirical study

Abstract: Abstract: Eco-industrial network is the key way to strike a balance between the economic development and environmental protection in industrial activities, which is the organizational forms of industrial symbiosis between various industries. Based on the two dimensions of space distribution and symbiosis relationship of industries, five patterns of eco-industrial network are proposed. Through the reviews on the present overseas and domestic cases of industrial symbiosis, the characteristics of the patterns are analyzed from the perspectives of system stability, technological innovation capability, the capability of maket emergency, stakeholders’ involvement, entering barriers, and environmental performance, which will provide the instruction for Chinese eco-industrial development.
