A research on the firm’s internationalization speed

Abstract: Though the extent and scope of firm’s internationalization have already been mature concepts, but the internationalization speed has not become a research focus until the international new ventures theory emerges. By using a mixed-methods approach combining mapping knowledge domain and qualitative analysis, this paper analyzes the status quo of internationalization speed research and identifies three core research topics, namely the definitions, dimensions and measurements as well as the influencing factors and performance outcomes of internationalization speed. Based on the research, we discuss future directions for internationalization speed research from the theoretical perspectives, research contexts, methods and topics.
