Institutional context, entry modes ofinternational markets and international entrepreneurshipperformance

Abstract: Based on the dynamic capability theory and institutional theory, this paper makes an empirical study of the relationship among institutional circumstances, entry modes of international markets and performance of international new ventures by conducting questionnaire investigations about 112 international new ventures all over the world and applying the hierarchical regression analysis. The results show that the entry modes of international markets relates positively to performance of international new ventures, and that the regulative, cognitive and normative institutional context moderate negatively the relationship between the entry modes of international markets and performance of international new ventures.
