The key success factors for S&T tracking in China

Abstract

Abstract: Firms are able to understand their technology environments through Science and Technology(S&T) tracking,and a success S&T tracking could improve the formulation and implementation of firm technology strategy. Facing with the situation that the success rate of Chinese enterprises' S&T tracking is low, an analysis framework of key success factors in firms' S&T tracking for guiding firms S&T tracking practices is explored. First, through a literature review of related researches, the analysis dimension and related hypothesis are proposed. And then, a cross-case comparison of four typical enterprises to identify the key success factors of S&T tracking in China. Finally, an analysis framework of key success factors for S&T tracking is constructed.
