Abstract:    As the key carrier of new quality productivity, the study of strategic emerging industries′ spatial layout and its driving factors is of great significance to optimize inter-regional coordination, enhance comprehensive competitiveness, and build a highquality regional economic layout. Based on the spatial-temporal big data of micro-enterprises in the strategic emerging industries in the Cross-Strait Integration Development Demonstration Zone and by using the GIS visual analysis method, this paper presented the industrial development landscape in a panoramic manner, explored the spatial distribution characteristics and dynamic evolution laws of industries, and extracted the multidimensional driving factors of industrial location layout based on the ecosystem thought. Systematically, a theoretical interpretation framework that affects the spatial layout of strategic emerging industries was constructed. The study found that the strategic emerging industries in the Cross-Strait Integration Development Demonstration Zone show the spatial distribution characteristics of "dual-core, one-belt, multi-node" pattern, with an obvious dynamic evolution trend of diffusion and shift to the northeast. The distribution pattern is the result of the combined effects of many factors, among which nine factors, such as the degree of economic extroversion, the level of technological innovation, the endowment of science and education resources, the intensity of policy support and the degree of urban livability, are important driving factors, but the driving factors of each industry segment show certain heterogeneity. Therefore, this study has put forward policy suggestions for optimizing the overall layout of strategic emerging industries, and it will improve the level of inter-regional coordination and comprehensive competitiveness in the Cross-Strait Integration Development Demonstration Zone.
