新发展格局下创新驱动中国制造业全球价值链升级

The innovation-driven upgrading of China′s manufacturing global value chain under the new development paradigm

摘要:    世界范围内技术条件和政策环境变化对国际分工产生了重要影响,全球价值链呈现出阶段性收缩的态势。本研究立足于全球价值链的垂直分工体系,深入探讨产品创新如何影响中国制造业在全球价值链中的重构机制,尝试以中国经验寻求突破制造业全球价值链“低端锁定”困局。研究发现,中国制造业在全球价值链参与程度较深,但是仍然处于价值链低端。价值链升级的动力源于产品创新,尽管创新产出和投入对升级过程的影响各异且具有显著的行业异质性。将新发展格局纳入考量后,国内创新活动的成果和资源投入对中国制造业在全球价值链中的攀升起到了显著的正向影响。然而,在国际循环中,尽管国际贸易和创新产出对提升全球价值链地位有显著的正面影响,创新投入的影响却不明显。本文的结论为贯彻新发展理念、构建新发展格局,以及构建以国内产业为支撑,产品创新驱动参与全球专业化垂直分工体系提供了经验支持。

Abstract:    Changes in technological conditions and policy environments worldwide have significantly impacted the international division of labor, leading to a phased contraction of global value chains scales. Utilizing the concept of vertical specialization within the global value chain, this paper studied the mechanisms through which product innovation influences the reconfiguration of manufacturing′s global value chain and attempted to use China′s experience to seek breakthroughs in the "low-end lock-in" dilemma of the global value chain. The results showed that it has participated deeply in the global value chain but remains at the low stage. Product innovation promotes the upgrading of the global value chain; however, the impact of innovation output and input varies and exhibits significant industry heterogeneity. After incorporating the new development pattern into consideration, the innovation output and input within the domestic circulation have a significant positive impact on the upgrading of the global value chain in manufacturing. In the realm of global trade, the impact of international circulation, along with the innovation outputs and its spillover effects, enhances the global value chain position, while the influence of innovation inputs remains insignificant. The conclusions of this study will provide empirical support for implementing the new development concept, committing to the new development pattern, and constructing a global specialized vertical division of labor system driven by domestic industries and product innovation.
