“创业企业-孵化器”双边匹配及其对企业创新投入的影响研究

摘要

孵化器是促进创业企业创新的重要政策工具。研究孵化器与创业企业的匹配情况对于提升创业企业培育效能、营造良好的创新创业生态系统具有重要意义。本文以孵化器与入孵企业为研究对象,基于双边匹配理论分析双方在不同偏好特征下的互选匹配机制并实证检验匹配结果对企业创新投入的影响。研究发现:(1)孵化器与创业企业的实际配对结果显著遵循了双边匹配机制,企业规模、企业成长性、企业家团队特征以及孵化器性质和实力等特征是双方形成稳定匹配的重要因素;(2)创业企业与孵化器稳定匹配对企业创新投入有显著的促进作用;(3)融资约束在“创业企业-孵化器”匹配度与企业创新投入之间发挥着部分中介作用。上述结果表明,孵化器与创业企业形成稳定匹配有利于提高孵化市场资源供需契合度和构建信任关系,二者之间的稳定匹配通过缓解企业融资约束有效促进了企业创新投入。本文为优化创业企业孵化市场资源配置、促进企业创新投入提供了新的思路和决策参考。

Abstract

Incubators represent an essential policy instrument pivotal in catalyzing innovation within entrepreneurial ventures. Exploration of the symbiotic relationship between incubators and entrepreneurial entities holds substantial significance in augmenting the developmental effectiveness of these enterprises, thereby fostering a robust ecosystem conducive to innovation and entrepreneurship. This study, centering on incubators and their resident enterprises, delved into the dynamics of their mutual selection and matching processes grounded in the principles of bilateral matching theory. Furthermore, it conducted empirical examinations to ascertain the influence of these matching paradigms on the innovation investment strategies of the enterprises involved.
The study presented herein discovered that: (1) The actual connections formed between incubators and entrepreneurial ventures closely comply with a two-sided matching process, wherein factors like company size, growth prospects, entrepreneurial background, team composition, and the attributes and prowess of the incubator play a vital role in establishing a stable alliance; (2) A robust alignment between startups and incubators markedly fosters innovation investment; and (3) Financial limitations serve as an intermediary influence linking the suitability of the startup-incubator pairing and the enterprises' innovation investments. These outcomes suggest that a consistent partnership between incubators and entrepreneurial entities aids in matching the incubation market's resource supply with demand and in forming trust-based relationships. This harmony eases financial hurdles for companies, thereby facilitating increased investment in innovation. This paper will offer novel viewpoints and strategic suggestions for the optimal distribution of resources within the entrepreneurial incubation arena to enhance innovation financing.

科技企业孵化器是提高企业存活率、促进科技企业快速成长的重要载体。孵化器税收优惠是支持在孵企业技术创新的重要政策工具。基于2015—2018年国家级科技企业孵化器税收政策落实情况和相关统计数据,运用面板数据模型,分析税收优惠措施对在孵企业技术创新的影响以及孵化器服务的中介作用。通过税收固定效应模型及联立方程组,考察税收优惠这一自变量的内生性问题。研究结果表明,孵化器税收优惠政策对在孵企业研发投入及创新行为具有一定正向影响,且这种影响通过孵化器这一中介机制发挥作用。

本文基于孵化器集群化发展的新趋势,面向孵化器集群形成过程中多主体的价值共创行为,以及政府在集群不同发展阶段中的作用,通过引入制度工作与价值共创理论,以广州开发区孵化器集群作为案例研究对象,研究探讨并揭示了孵化器集群形成的内在机制。研究发现:第一,政府通过外部与内部制度工作配合助力孵化器集群制度的形成,并随着外部制度环境的健全,孵化器集群内部的政府角色从“制度管理者”转变为“辅助服务者”;第二,在制度环境与集群行为的交互影响下,孵化器集群主体价值共创的参与动机趋于协同,进一步使集群主体互动与资源整合的广度与深度不断提升;第三,政府制度工作与孵化器集群共同演化,在政府制度服从-制度融合-制度深化的过程中,孵化器集群制度实现价值共联-价值共融-价值共生的转化。

Based on the new tendency of the incubator clustering development, this paper focuses on multi-agent value co-creation and the role of policy in different formative stages of the cluster, combining with the Institutional Work theory and the Value Co-creation theory, through a case study of cluster of incubators in Guangzhou Development District, exploring the internal mechanism of the formation of cluster of incubators. We found that: Firstly, the government helps to form the cluster of incubators through the coordination of internal and external institutional work, and with the improvement of the external institutional environment, the role of the government within the cluster changes from "institution maker" to "auxiliary service provider". Second, under the interactive influence of institutional environment and behavior of cluster actors, the motivations of cluster actors for value co-creation tends to be synergistic, which further improves the breadth and depth of their interaction and resource integration. Thirdly, the institutional work of government and the cluster of incubators co-evolve. In the process of government institution obeying-institution integration- institution deepening, the institution of value co-creation in the cluster realizes the transformation of value co-connection - value co-integration - value symbiosis.

In this study, we examine whether female entrepreneurs are held to a different standard than male entrepreneurs in obtaining financing from banks. To test this idea, we draw from the literature on signaling theory to propose that characteristics specific to the firm and the entrepreneur act as a means to communicate (i.e., signal) the inherent quality of the venture and thus impact the amount of capital the entrepreneur is able to obtain. We then explore the moderating role of gender based on gender role congruity theory to argue that capital providers reward the business characteristics of male and female entrepreneurs differently to the disadvantage of women.

We consider the role that gender-stereotyped behaviors play in investors’ evaluations of men- and women-owned ventures. Contrary to research suggesting that investors exhibit bias against women, we find that being a woman entrepreneur does not diminish interest by investors. Rather, our findings reveal that investors are biased against the display of feminine-stereotyped behaviors by entrepreneurs, men and women alike. Our study finds that investor decisions are driven in part by observations of gender-stereotyped behaviors and the implicit associations with the entrepreneur’s business competency, rather than the entrepreneur’s sex.
