摘要

信息技术(IT)的快速发展对于实现企业的可持续发展机遇与挑战并存。信息技术的运用一方面会导致能源消耗、社会分化,另一方面绿色技术创新也为可持续发展提供了现实可能。但现有文献对IT能力的可持续发展价值及其过程研究较为匮乏。本文根据资源基础观,构建企业可持续发展绩效的整合模型。以214家汽车制造企业为样本,运用结构方程模型实证分析了IT能力对经济、社会和环境多层面可持续发展绩效的全面影响及其内在机制。实证结论发现IT能力有助于提升企业整体绩效表现,促进可持续发展绩效;业务流程敏捷性是IT能力重塑企业的关键环节,对于IT能力与可持续发展绩效之间的关系具有显著的中介效应。最后,本文基于上述研究发现提出相应的管理启示和未来方向。

Abstract

Information technology (IT) can be the problem and solution for sustainability. While IT is a source of environmental contamination during manufacturing and disposal, IT also presents opportunities for firms to greening IT and/or increasing their efficiency of resource use. Extant researches about IT capabilitly’s contribuation to suatainability are inadquate. On the basis of resource based view, we investigate the relationship between IT capability and sustainbility performance, and the relevant influential mechanism. The proposed model is tested by using the variance-based structural equation modeling technique with matched-pair survey data from a sample of 214 Chinese firms. Results indicate that firm’s IT capability contrubutes to its sustainability perfermance, and business process agility plays a significant mediation mechanism. At last, the article puts forward to management implication and the future researh.
