Abstract: Abstract: Confronting with the fierce market competiton, more and more organizations choose technology alliance to improve their whole knowledge stock and enterprise competitive strength, since knowledge transfer in technology alliances is an important way for organizations to learn and acquire external knowledge. The first hand date of the technology alliance of 9AF combined cycle unit D10 steam turbine between Harbin Turbine Company and General Electric Company were obtained by visiting Harbin Turbine Company. By analyzing the above technology alliance case, how to recognize influential factors of knowledge transfer effectiveness is validated. The result of the empirical research and case study shows that smooth implementation of knowledge transfer process directly and positively affects effectiveness of knowledge transfer; knowledge input sources, knowledge context applicability, and knowledge transfer means affect knowledge transfer positively through actively impact implementation process of knowledge transfer; information symmetry among technology partners positively relates to knowledge identifying ability; the disseminative capability of knowledge sender and the absorptive capability of knowledge receiver directly and significantly affect knowledge transfer context applicability. It is visually revealed how these influencing factors of technology alliance impact effectiveness of knowledge transfer through empirical research and technology alliance case analysis on the basis of theoretical study. The result helps corporations understanding and applying these theoretical research conclusions and is useful to enterprise R&D staffs and scientific research managers for improving knowledge transfer effectiveness and organizational learning ability.
