伪数字信任对企业创新的影响研究
Research on the impact of pseudo-digital trust on corporate innovation
企业数字信任宣讲与其实际建设间偏差导致的伪数字信任带来了对企业声誉、企业创新的一系列影响。为增强企业对伪数字信任的应对能力,从企业数字责任与组织韧性出发构建有中介的调节效应模型。通过对437份企业员工和管理者的调研数据分析发现:伪数字信任对企业创新具有消极影响;企业声誉在伪数字信任对企业创新的影响中起到部分中介作用;企业数字责任的实施有助于缓解伪数字信任对企业声誉的消极影响,且这种调节效应能够通过企业声誉的中介作用影响企业创新;组织韧性能够调节伪数字信任对企业声誉的消极影响,但这种调节效应无法通过企业声誉的中介作用传递到企业创新。研究结果加深了对伪数字信任的理解,为解决数字经济背景下的数字不信任和信任陷阱,推进企业声誉提升,推动企业可持续创新提供了理论参考。
Pseudo-digital trust caused by deviation between corporate digital trust proclamations and actual corporate constructions exerts a series of impacts on corporate reputation and corporate innovation. In this paper, a mediated moderating effect model was constructed to mitigate the impact of pseudo-digital trust on corporate reputation and corporate innovation from the perspective of corporate digital responsibility (CDR) and organizational resilience to enhance corporations' capacity to manage pseudo-digital trust. To test the hypotheses, a total of 437 data points were obtained from corporate managers and experienced grassroots employees through the questionnaire survey method. The results of the empirical study showed that pseudo-digital trust exerts a negative impact on corporate innovation. Corporate reputation plays a partial mediating role in the impact of pseudo-digital trust on corporate innovation. The implementation of CDR can help mitigate the negative impact of pseudo-digital trust on corporate reputation, and this moderating effect can influence corporate innovation through the mediating role of corporate reputation. Although organizational resilience moderates the negative impact of pseudo-digital trust on corporate reputation, this moderating effect cannot be transmitted to corporate innovation through the mediating role of corporate reputation. Our findings have further deepened our understanding of pseudo-digital trust, thereby providing firms with solutions to digital mistrust and trust traps in the context of the digital economy, improving corporate reputation, and promoting sustainable corporate innovation.

专精特新企业是未来细分市场的领导者,对突破关键技术瓶颈和维持全球产业链稳定具有重要作用。但在高不确定的市场环境中,尤其是疫情肆虐和逆全球化背景下专精特新企业如何平稳度过危机并实现可持续发展已经成为当前管理者所关注的焦点。基于资源基础观和动态能力视角,本文构建一个链式中介模型来探索创业导向对专精特新企业绩效的影响机制,并进一步利用372个专精特新企业的数据进行实证分析,研究发现:(1)创业导向对专精特新企业绩效具有显著正向影响;(2)创业拼凑和组织韧性在创业导向对专精特新企业绩效之间具有同步和链式的中介作用。研究结论对专精特新企业创业成功具有重要的理论解释意义,同时对国内国际双循环背景下专精特新企业的生存和发展亦有重要的实践意义。
As the leader of the market segment in the future, SRCN enterprises (Small and medium-sized enterprises with the characteristics of specialization, refinement, characterization and novelty) play an important role in breaking through the key technological bottlenecks and maintaining the stability of the global industrial chain. However, in the highly uncertain market environment, especially in the context of epidemic and anti-globalization, how to smoothly survive the crisis and achieve sustainable development for SRCN enterprises has become the focus of current managers. Based on the resource-based view and the perspective of dynamic capabilities, this paper constructs a chain intermediary model to explore the impact mechanism of entrepreneurial orientation on the performance of SRCN enterprises, and further uses the data of 372 SRCN enterprises for empirical analysis. The research finds that: (1) entrepreneurial orientation has a significant positive impact on the performance of SRCN enterprises; (2) entrepreneurial bricolage and organizational resilience play a synchronous and chain intermediary role between entrepreneurial orientation and the performance of SRCN enterprises. The research conclusion is of great theoretical significance for the success of SRCN enterprises, as well as practical significance for the survival and development of SRCN enterprises under the domestic and international double cycle background.

To succeed in today’s dynamic and unpredictable business world, businesses are increasingly required to gain the trust of and inform the society in which they operate about the social and environmental consequences of their actions. Corporations’ claims regarding the responsibility and ethicality of their actions, however, have been shown to be contradictory to some degree. We define corporations’ deceitful implementation of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies as pseudo-CSR. We argue that it is the moral characteristics of individuals, i.e. employees, managers and other decision-makers who ignore the CSR policies, which produce pseudo-CSR.

This study investigates how perceptions of corporate hypocrisy from corporate social responsibility activities connect the public’s ethical philosophy to subsequent positive/negative opinion-sharing intention. With special attention to deontology and consequentialism in normative ethics of philosophy, the current study empirically tests a theoretical model of perceived corporate hypocrisy with two causal antecedents (i.e., individual moral philosophy of deontology and consequentialism), and the mediating role of corporate hypocrisy between such antecedents and the public’s subsequent communication intention (i.e., positive and negative opinion-sharing intentions) toward a firm. Results indicate significant mediation effects of corporate hypocrisy between personal ethical orientations and the public’s communication intention based on ethical attribution of crisis-related corporate social responsibility activities.

This study aims to develop an ethical branding framework that determines whether a corporate brand’s functional and emotional values, that is, product, service quality, and perceived price (antecedents), influence ethical branding and, consequently, company reputation and brand loyalty (consequences) among industrial buyers of electronic office equipment in Malaysia. Using structural equation modelling, the article demonstrates the effects of perceived price, quality of product and service on ethical branding, company reputation, and brand loyalty. The results reveal that product quality directly influences ethical brand perceptions and, consequently, company reputation. Perceived price and service quality do not directly affect company reputation; instead, they affect its identification through ethical branding. The findings thus demonstrate that product quality, perceived price, and service quality affect company reputation through the mediation of ethical branding. This highlights that an ethical brand is effective for companies to maintain their reputation among industrial buyers.

The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between consumer perception of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), corporate brand trust, corporate hypocrisy, and corporate reputation. Based on the one-to-one interview method using a structured questionnaire of 560 consumers in South Korea, the proposed model was estimated by structural equation modeling analysis. The model suggests that consumer perception of CSR influences consumer attitudes toward a corporation (i.e., perceived corporate hypocrisy and corporate reputation) by developing corporate brand trust. This in turn further enhances corporate reputation while decreasing corporate hypocrisy. The findings of our study demonstrate that consumer perception of CSR is an antecedent to corporate brand trust, which fully mediates the relationship between consumer perception of CSR and corporate reputation. In addition, corporate brand trust has the role of partial mediator in the relationship between consumer perception of CSR and corporate hypocrisy. These results imply that to better understand the relationship between consumer perception of CSR and consumer attitudes toward a corporation, it is necessary to consider corporate brand trust as an important mediating variable. The theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed, together with its limitations and potential for future research.

This research project investigates consumers’ willingness to adopt online pro-environmental behaviors. First, we conducted an exploratory qualitative study that revealed respondents’ low awareness of the environmental impact of Internet usage and reluctance to change their online behaviors. Consumers tend to decline all responsibility and expect companies and public authorities to take the necessary measures. Moreover, they are led by contradictory motives: not harming the environment on the one hand and continuing to use the Internet the way they currently do on the other. Based on these findings, two quantitative studies were conducted to investigate the determinants of consumers’ self-attribution of responsibility to reduce the digital footprint of their online activity (e.g., using an eco-friendly search engine). Our conceptual model emphasizes the mechanisms of cognitive dissonance and highlights the crucial role of skepticism toward pro-environmental solutions. Implications for IT companies and public policy makers are discussed.

The aim of the article is to outline the relationship of the concept of CSR with the issue of digital transformation. In this study, we explore how top executives affect the well-being of multiple stakeholders and long-run organizational outcomes. In the context of the 2008 global financial crisis (GFC), we examine how CEO greed impacts firms’ stance toward corporate social responsibility (CSR) prior to the onset of the GFC and how this, in turn, shapes firms’ fate during and after the GFC. We argue that CEO greed will be negatively associated with CSR, because in their unbridled pursuit of personal wealth, greedy CEOs are more likely to exhibit myopic behaviors and neglect investment in CSR. We also adopt a person-pay interactionist logic to theorize that the willingness of greedy executives to invest in CSR will be especially sensitive to different types of pay instruments. Next, we build on recent findings from research on CSR that suggest that stakeholder engagement is a defining feature of resilient organizations. We expect that, due to low CSR investment, firms led by greedy CEOs will experience greater losses in the short run and will take longer time to recover from the 2008 GFC. For a sample of 301 CEOs of public U.S. organizations, we analyzed the stock prices and found general support for our hypotheses.
