Abstract:    As an important component of innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, the maker space performs a vital role to drive China in becoming a world power in scientific and technology innovation. However, the development model of the maker space has changed into an innovation ecosystem model. Therefore, it is of great significance to discuss how to promote the innovation performance of enterprises by creating a synergy between the incubation experiences of maker spaces and the relevant factors of thirdparty stakeholders. Through dividing incubation experiences into experience width and experience depth, this study applied the synergy theory and examined how the incubation experiences of maker spaces, government subsidies and supports from the industry association jointly influence the innovation performance of enterprises. Taking the 1,078 maker spaces that has been included in the National Technology Business Incubator Management Service System from 2016 to 2018 as the research sample, we conducted an empirical analysis through negative binomial regression. It was found in the research that both the breadth and depth of incubation experiences are beneficial to the innovation performance of enterprises. Further research found that government subsidies merely enhance the positive impact of the breadth of incubation experiences on the innovation performance of enterprises, but have no significant moderating effect on the role of depth of incubation experiences and innovation performance of enterprises. In addition, industry association not only weakens the relationship between the breadth of incubation experiences and the innovation performance of enterprises, but concurrently strengthens the association between the depth of incubation experiences and the innovation performance of enterprises. This study also has some theoretical contributions as follows. First, by adopting the synergy theory, this study expanded the research perspective on the innovation performance of make spaces. Second, through dividing into the breadth and depth of incubation experiences, this paper elucidated the importance of the different dimensions of incubation experiences. Third, this paper identified the differentiated moderating effects of government subsidies and supports from the industry association, which enriches the indepth action mechanism on the relationship between incubation experiences and innovation performance of enterprises. At the same time, this study will provide some inspiration for the construction and development of maker spaces at the practical level.
