    2017, 38(10): 10-21.
    Abstract ( 745 )
Using 194 Nobel Prize winners, 375 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and 291 of Chinese Academy of Engineering as research objects, this paper discusses the relations between original innovation driving factors and innovation performance from perspective of creativity research and psychology. The study indicates that better growth environment leads to the formation of innovative personality, creative thinking and innovative techniques, and the improvement of original innovative performance. Innovative personality has a significant influence on creative thinking which impacts on innovative techniques. Creative thinking plays intermediary role between innovative personality and the performance of original innovation, so do innovative techniques between creative thinking and the performance of original innovation. These factors completely mediate the growth environment and the performance of original innovation. Moreover, policy and system environment positively regulate influences between these factors and innovative innovation performance. Compared with academicians in China, Nobel laureates have advantages of creative thinking and innovative techniques.

The effect of parallel search of new cluster ventures on product innovation performance: The moderating role of managerial ties
    Feng Xiaobin
    2017, 38(10): 22-30.
    Abstract ( 537 )
Most studies have found the positive effects of knowledge search on product innovation performance(PIP), but few explored the relationship between rivals searching time choice and PIP. Tests using data on 215 new ventures in clusters explore the effects of leading search and following search on PIP as well as the moderating effects of managerial ties. Results indicate that (1) both leading search and following search have curvilinear (inverted U-shaped) effects on PIP ; (2) the curvilinear link between leading search and PIP is positively moderated by extra-cluster managerial ties; (3) in contrast, intra-cluster managerial ties weaken the curvilinear effect of leading search on PIP, but strengthen the curvilinear effect of following search on PIP. This paper enriches the studies that focus on the parallel search - PIP linkage. Hopefully, the findings provide guidance for new ventures to conduct innovation search and improve PIP.

Price regulation, strategic innovation incentives and pharmaceutical market performance
Zhang Xinxin, Hou Wenhua, Shen Chenglin
    2017, 38(10): 68-75.
    Abstract ( 585 )
In this paper, we propose a multi-stage dynamic game model to investigate the comprehensive mechanism of government’s strategic innovation incentives policy, price regulation policy, and health insurance policy on pharmaceutical firms’ innovation incentives and pharmaceutical market performance. We find that price regulation does not necessarily decrease the innovation incentives for pharmaceutical firms, and firms’ innovation investment may achieve the social optimal level under a reasonable price regulation. In addition, matching price regulation to health insurance may achieve multi-win among pharmaceutical firms, providers, patients, healthcare providers and the government. We also show that government’s strategic innovation incentive policy may dual-regulate the innovation investment of pharmaceutical firms, and induce them to the first best allocation, as well as enhance firms’ profits and the social welfare. Last, improving health insurance welfare or decreasing the regulated price, will reduce the welfare effects of the strategic innovation incentive policy.

    2017, 38(10): 111-118.
    Abstract ( 779 )
Based on the basic question of “how to explore the effective path to promote growth of knowledge workers’ creativity”, focusing on 197 knowledge workers from 41 banks as empirical samples, this study establishes a theoretical model of mediated moderator based on the social recognition theory by reviewing relevant literatures and conducting an empirical study with the method of multiple regression analysis. The results reveal that the relationship between intrinsic motivation, knowledge sharing intention and employees’ creativity are positive.Meanwhile there is a partly mediating effect of knowledge sharing intention on the relationship between intrinsic motivation and employees’ creativity. Furthermore, the moderating role of self-efficacy on the relationship between intrinsic motivation and employees’ creativity is fully mediated by knowledge sharing intention. The results can help enterprises better understand the importance of knowledge workers’ intrinsic motivation, and its effect on employees’ creativity through knowledge sharing intention.
